Greetings, friends and family! We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are eagerly anticipating the Christmas season. We were blessed to spend some time with family. Lots of good food, catching up, and the joy of being together.
Today, November 30, is a big day in the non-profit world. It’s Giving Tuesday: a day that spotlights non-profits and encourages end-of-year giving to the many organizations and ministries that serve our communities, our nation, and around the world.
As we approach Giving Tuesday, we have two big asks that we hope you’ll join us in:
First, please pray that the Lord will provide in a big way for the completion of Shepherd’s Inn. We have been so blessed in 2021 through the generosity of others to be able to complete a large portion of the renovations needed to open the doors in 2022. That said, we still have quite a few big ticket items that need to be provided in order to complete the inn and begin this ministry of rest, renewal, and care for those in ministry. We’re praying for an abundance of generosity tomorrow, and we are asking you to join us in prayer!
Our second big ask is that as you plan for end-of-year giving you would consider a tax-deductible gift to Shepherd’s Inn. Many of you have given this past year, and we are exceedingly grateful for your generosity. Our next major milestone is drywall installation, which we still need $9,300 to complete. Our goal is to have drywall complete by Christmas. That’s our immediate goal for giving tomorrow.
Our high goal is that we would receive what we need to complete the renovation of the inn which is still around $128,000. You can see what’s been given and what is still left by clicking the Punch List. Through generous gifts big and small we know this goal is possible. We believe our God owns it all and continues to do amazing miracles. He has done great things this year, and we’re trusting in His continued provision.
Those are our two big asks. Pray big and Give big! With your help we can open the doors of Shepherd’s Inn next year and fully begin to care for ministers and missionaries in need of rest, renewal, and care.
