Family and Friends, thank you! We launched our website and social media for Shepherd’s Inn publicly a little over a week ago and have been overwhelmed by the encouragement and support. We’re excited to begin this journey toward caring for those in ministry.
There is much to do before opening the doors of the inn, and people are asking how they can help. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
Prayer
First and foremost, pray. We need this ministry covered in prayer.
Pray for our leadership as we seek to create the very best experience for Christian leaders to come and rest, be renewed in spirit and cared for through hospitality.
Pray for our protection and for strength in the days ahead. We know that the enemy would seek to destroy this before it begins. We also know there is a long road ahead. Pray that we will keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, rest in His finished work on the cross and find refuge and encouragement in the community of believers He has surrounded us with.
Pray for continued guidance in all the details (team development, programming, property, design and construction).
Pray for the resources to complete the inn (people, property and funding).
Pray for our care team (that God would continue to call people to our team, and for their preparation to love and serve others).
Pray for the leaders we will serve (for their families and their ministries).
Promotion
Help us get the word out about Shepherd’s Inn. You know people who would be willing to pray for us and those who could benefit from this ministry. Please share the vision of Shepherd’s Inn through our website and social media, and invite friends and family to join us in prayer and support as we begin this journey. You could be our biggest promoter!!
Generosity
We need generous givers. We estimate the cost of property and building the inn itself will cost upwards of 1.5 million. If the ministry of Shepherd’s Inn resonates with you, then prayerfully consider supporting us through a tax deductible donation. If you know someone who is gifted to give, tell them about us, or consider introducing us to them.
Also, if your church missions team or ministry-minded organization would be interested in partnering with Shepherd’s Inn, then point them to “Partnerships” on the “Contribute” page of our website.
Every gift, large or small, takes us a step closer to offering this much needed ministry to some amazing ministry leaders.
