One of our guest rooms at Shepherd’s Inn will be dedicated to the memory of Sandy Snow. Sandy loved Jesus, his wife Cassie, his family, and people. He wasn’t a perfect person (and he wouldn’t want you to think he was), but that just made the restoring grace of Jesus more evident and beautiful in his life. He was a friend and mentor to many and a wise sage to our staff at Rivertree. He loved fiercely and always reminded us that we were dearly loved by the Father. I’ve often said over the last couple years of our journey at the Inn, “I wish I could talk to Sandy.”
Sandy also had a dream of opening a bed and breakfast; a place of rest and renewal for others. His heart for hospitality and a desire to care for others was one of the things that inspired us towards creating Shepherd’s Inn. In 2021 on a trip to Magnolia, we came across a piece at Jimmy Don’s metal art shop that reminded us of Sandy. It became very clear to us that day that we would have a room at Shepherd’s Inn dedicated to Sandy.
As we approach opening day at the Inn, we are about to begin furnishing the “Snow” Room. We’ve had $4,600 of the needed $5,000 given to furnish this room. We would love to invite others who knew Sandy or were inspired by his life to help us complete this special room. If you would like to contribute, click here and select the “Snow Room” from the designation list. We’ll post pictures soon as we complete this room, and we look forward to carrying on Sandy’s legacy of love and care for others.
