Celebrating the Goodness of God in 2023
Greetings family and friends! We hope you’ve been enjoying a wonderful Christmas. Before we close out the year, we wanted to celebrate God's provision for Shepherd's Inn and look ahead to 2024.
Through many faithful prayers lifted and the generous investment of time, talents, and resources given by so many brothers and sisters, we’ve been blessed to complete:
The main floor of the Inn including two of four furnished guest rooms - each with a private covered porch
The great room, dining room, private dining room, and kitchen
Outdoor steps on our new exit doors
Fences repaired
Trails and initial landscaping projects
The Carriage House apartment (Innkeepers residence)
Five weekends of guests at the Inn during our "soft" opening
New church partnerships
A greater network of care for those in ministry through CareGivers Forum and Retreat Alliance
And over the last two months the Lord has provided a grant for $25K to complete the downstairs of the Inn and over $20K in additional gifts from individuals toward final renovation needs and ministry resources! (The downstairs includes guest rooms 3 and 4, concrete for their porches, a library, a utility room, and a jumpstart on guest room 5, located in the Carriage House.)
We stand in awe of our amazing God, and the faithfulness of His people!!
Bright Hope For Tomorrow
Looking to 2024, we will host a limited number of guests in January so we can install the floors, doors, and trim downstairs. We will open full-time beginning in February which means the Inn will be available for up to a four night stay, Thursday evening thru Monday morning.
As we begin this next chapter at Shepherd’s Inn, you can help by continuing to pray, promote, and provide!
Pray for the ministry of rest, renewal, and care at the Inn and for the ministers and missionaries we’ll be serving.
Promote by sharing Shepherd’s Inn with your church leadership and the mission organizations you’re a part of. We want them to know this place of retreat is here for them.
Provide by volunteering at the Inn and/or investing in the well-being of ministers and missionaries. You a can do this by becoming a Friend of the Inn, by providing a stay at the Inn through Stay Share, or through a one-time or recurring gift to the Inn.
We've come a long way, but there is much ministry to be done! Your tax-deductible gift will help provide this ministry at little to no cost for those who need it. You can click the links below or click here for more information on how to provide.
